BodyMetrix YSC Assessment Blocks (Tokens): How Assessment Credits Work
What uses a credit (token), how to track your balance, and what happens when you run low.
BodyMetrix Software YSC comes with two ways to pay for assessments:
| Plan | How it works |
|---|---|
| YSC Annual | Unlimited assessments for one year. No credits to track. |
| YSC Assessment Blocks | A fixed number of assessments (25, 50, 100, 250, or 500). Each completed assessment uses one credit. |
Your activation code sets your plan. If you’re on YSC Annual, nothing in this article applies to you.
Your credits never expire. Unused credits stay on your balance, and each new block adds to what you have left.
What uses a credit
One credit is used for each completed assessment:
- A body composition scan that produces a body fat percentage. Repeat readings in the same session are free. You’re never charged for double-checking a measurement.
- Each completed athlete on a submitted weigh-in roster. An athlete already recorded earlier the same day isn’t charged again.
Read this before your weigh-in: every documented assessment uses its credit, because the body fat percentage was measured and recorded. That includes:
- Athletes assessed outside your governing body’s assessment window
- Athletes who failed hydration
What doesn’t use a credit
- Saving and reviewing a weigh-in. Only Submit Final Roster counts usage.
- Resubmitting the same event when nothing changed. Resubmissions send only new or updated athletes.
- Repeat readings in the same session.
Before you submit, the blue box on the Final Roster screen shows exactly how many assessments will be recorded against your plan.
Working offline
You can keep measuring without an internet connection. Credits settle automatically in the background the next time BodyMetrix is online. Nothing is ever blocked at scan time. Only submitting a weigh-in requires enough credits.
Track your balance
The credit counter next to the notification bell shows your usable balance: your balance minus anything not yet settled.
| Color | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Green | More than half your block remains |
| Orange | 25 to 50 percent remains |
| Red | Less than 25 percent remains |
A small dot on the counter means some assessments are still waiting to settle.
Low-credit alerts
The notification bell alerts you once when your balance drops below 50 percent, again below 25 percent, and with a critical alert at zero. Topping up resets the alerts.
The PPA Usage report
For the full picture, open Reporting > Price Per Assessment Reporting > PPA Usage. It shows:
- Your usable balance and an estimated depletion date
- Assessments per day
- Every billed assessment: who, what, when, and whether it’s settled or pending
- Settlement history you can match against your block purchases
Exports follow your PHI Reporting Mode setting.
Running out and topping up
If a weigh-in needs more credits than you have left, the submission is blocked and your roster is kept exactly as it is. Nothing is lost.
- Purchase another Assessment Block using the private purchase link in your original approval email. Can’t find it? Open a support case at bodymetrix.com/pages/contact-support-form, choose Subscription & Upgrade, and we’ll send it again.
- In BodyMetrix, go to Setup > Licensing & EULA Agreement and click Refresh balance. This pulls in your new balance and settles anything waiting.
- Return to the roster and submit.
Plan your season: size your block to the number of wrestlers you expect to assess, plus any reassessments. Since credits never expire, a larger block is never wasted, and running out the morning of a weigh-in means a delay while you top up.
