Update BodyMetrix Software
How BodyMetrix updates and what to do if an update fails
BodyMetrix checks for updates every time it opens, on both Windows and Mac. When a new version is available, you'll be prompted to install it. Follow the prompt, and BodyMetrix restarts on its own when the update is done.
Do I need IT help?
It depends on how BodyMetrix was installed on your computer.
- Most computers: updates install without administrator rights. No IT help is needed.
- Computers set up by IT for all users: updates need administrator approval. Your IT team may push new versions to you instead.
- Upgrading from an early version (1.0.0 to 1.0.3) on Windows: your first update asks for administrator approval once, to convert to the current setup. Your data isn't affected.
If you're asked for administrator approval and don't have it, contact your IT team and share the BodyMetrix IT Installation Guide with them.
Check your current version
Your version number is on the Home screen and under About BodyMetrix.
Update not working?
- "Check for updates" shows an error or never finds updates (CONN-105): your network may be blocking the update service.
- An update is found, but the download fails (CONN-106): your network may be blocking the download.
For either code, see Connection Problem Error Codes.
