Share Error Reports with IntelaMetrix
What error reports contain, what they never contain, and how to turn sharing on or off.
You can choose to share usage and error information with IntelaMetrix. When sharing is on, BodyMetrix automatically sends an error report when something goes wrong, so problems can be found and fixed, often before you notice them.
Sharing is off by default and always optional. Nothing is ever sent unless you turn it on.
What a report contains
- Error messages and technical logs from BodyMetrix
- Your BodyMetrix version and operating system
- Your business contact details and license identifier, so support can follow up with you
What a report never contains
- Client or athlete names
- Measurements, scan results, or scan images
- Profile photos
- Any personal health information
Reports are encrypted on your computer before they’re sent, and only IntelaMetrix Support can open them.
Turn sharing on or off
- During first-time setup: check the optional sharing box at the bottom of the Terms & Policies step.
- Any time after: go to Setup > Preferences and use the Share Usage & Error Reports switch in the Privacy group.
Turning the switch off stops all sending immediately. Every change is recorded in System Audits.
Don’t see the switch in Setup > Preferences? It isn’t available in your version of BodyMetrix yet. See Update BodyMetrix Software.
Send a report to support yourself
If you’re working with support on a problem, you can send a report on the spot:
- Make sure sharing is turned on.
- Go to Setup > Preferences and click Send Error Report Now.
- You’ll get a reference like ERR-4H7K2M. Give that reference to your support agent.
When reports are sent
With sharing on, BodyMetrix checks shortly after launch, and periodically while running, whether any new errors have occurred since the last report. If so, it sends one quietly in the background. If your computer is offline, it tries again later.
Need help? Open a support case at bodymetrix.com/pages/contact-support-form and choose Software & App Support. If you sent an error report, include the ERR reference.
