How to Find Your System Info

Find your operating system, processor, BodyMetrix version, and Device serial number

When you open a support case, we may ask for these details. Here's where to find each one.

Operating system and version

  • Mac: Apple menu > About This Mac
  • Windows: Settings > System > About

Processor

  • Mac: shown in About This Mac as Apple silicon or Intel
  • Windows: shown in Settings > System > About as System type (x64 or ARM64)

BodyMetrix Software version

  • Shown on the Home screen, and under About BodyMetrix
  • If the app won't open: on Mac, right-click the app and choose Get Info. On Windows, go to Settings > Apps and find BodyMetrix.

BodyMetrix Device serial number (SN)

  • BodyMetrix Software (all versions): click Device Connected in the top left corner of the Start page. The SN is shown in the window that opens. It's also on the Setup page.
  • Original packaging: the SN is on the packaging or the insert card.
  • BodyView Software (EOL): go to File > Preferences, enter the default password 123, and find the SN at the bottom left of the window. It's also on the Body Composition tab, above formula selection.
