Choosing Your Compliance Frameworks During Setup

What the compliance options on the registration screen mean

When you register BodyMetrix during first-time setup, the Compliance Disclosure section asks which data privacy laws apply to your organization. Select every one that applies.

Your selection is a formal representation. It tells IntelaMetrix which rules govern the data you collect, and it's a condition of using the Platform. As the organization collecting client data, you're responsible for meeting the requirements of each law you select.

What each option means

Option Generally applies to What selecting it does
HIPAA (US Healthcare) Healthcare covered entities and business associates Confirms you're a covered entity or business associate under HIPAA, and activates our HIPAA Business Associate Addendum (EULA Schedule D)
FERPA (US Education) Schools and institutions handling student education records, including most U.S. school programs Confirms you hold the authorizations FERPA requires before submitting student data
COPPA / CIPA (Minors under 13) Organizations collecting data from children under 13 Confirms you've obtained required parental or guardian consent before collecting data
International Data Protection Laws Organizations subject to GDPR (EU or EEA), UK GDPR, PIPEDA (Canada), LGPD (Brazil), or similar laws Acknowledges our Data Processing Addendum (EULA Schedule C)
Does not apply Organizations not subject to any of the above No additional terms

Not sure which apply? Ask your organization's compliance officer or legal counsel. IntelaMetrix can't advise you on which laws apply to your organization.

Working with minors? If you measure anyone under 18, including in Youth Sports Compliance programs, you're responsible for any required consents and notices to parents and guardians.

Your situation changed? You can update your registration later from the Setup page.
