BodyMetrix Software YSC: NJSIAA Onboarding FAQ (2026-27 Season)
Answers from the NJSIAA onboarding session on licensing, installs, Track Wrestling, and weigh-ins/bulk assessments
These are answers to the questions NJSIAA athletic trainers asked during the BodyMetrix Software YSC onboarding session for the 2026-27 wrestling season.
Who to contact
- NJSIAA: Dena Maggio, Administrative Assistant, dmaggio@njsiaa.org, 609-259-2776. Contact Dena for activation codes, Track Wrestling accounts, and association questions.
- BodyMetrix Support: support.bodymetrix.com or support@bodymetrix.com. Contact BodyMetrix Support for installs, activation, IT, devices, features, and workflows. Support hours are Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM Pacific. The BodyMetrix Support Assistant is available any time through live chat.
LICENSING AND ACTIVATION
How Many Computers Can Our School Install BodyMetrix Software YSC On?
NJSIAA is licensed for up to 230 seats through the association. The single activation code issued to NJSIAA works on up to 230 installs. A school with multiple athletic trainers can install on one computer per trainer.
Where Did the Install and Activation Email Come From?
The install email and activation code were sent by NJSIAA. If you can't find it, check your spam and junk folders first. For questions and activation codes, contact Dena Maggio at NJSIAA.
What Does "The License Could Not Be Verified" Mean?
In most cases, your school firewall is blocking BodyMetrix Software YSC from reaching the cloud registration service. See "The Software Says a Connection Is Blocked" below.
Where Do I Enter or Check My Activation Code in the Software?
Go to Setup at the bottom of the home screen, then Licensing and EULA. From there you can do any of the following:
- Enter a new activation code and click Activate.
- Refresh or validate your code.
- View your code's last four digits for a support case.
INSTALLATION AND COMPUTER REQUIREMENTS
Can I Install BodyMetrix Software YSC on a Chromebook?
No. BodyMetrix Software YSC requires a Windows or Mac computer. See BodyMetrix Software Computer Requirements for supported systems.
My School Computer Is Managed by District IT. What Do I Need?
District-managed computers often require IT to install the software. Share the BodyMetrix IT Installation Guide with your IT department. It covers installation and the connection approvals the software needs.
The Software Says a Connection Is Blocked. How Do I Fix It?
Most schools run firewall policies that block some outside connections. When this happens, the app shows an error code in its top ribbon that identifies what is blocked.
- Note the error code shown in the top ribbon.
- Open a support case with the error code and a screenshot of the full app window. Crop out athlete names and assessment values.
- BodyMetrix Support sends the exact allowlist resolution directly to your school or district IT contact.
- Once IT updates the firewall, restart the app and try again.
Do I Need Admin Rights to Install BodyMetrix Software YSC?
Yes, you need admin rights for the initial install. Updates are designed to run per user profile, so with a standard school device management setup, you shouldn't need admin rights to update. If an update is blocked, open a support case, and BodyMetrix will work with your IT department on the policies needed.
How Do Software Updates Work?
BodyMetrix Software YSC updates automatically. You get a notification when a new patch, feature, or security update is available. BodyMetrix can also push critical updates directly, so every school stays on the same version. Unlike BodyView, IT no longer needs to install each update manually.
DEVICES, WARRANTY, AND COST
Will My Previous BodyMetrix Device Still Work?
Yes. The BodyMetrix device has a refreshed exterior and some modernized components built for longer life, but the internals are unchanged. Existing devices work with BodyMetrix Software YSC.
What Happens If My Device Is Damaged or Stops Working?
The NJSIAA Enterprise Agreement includes the BodyMetrix Enhanced Lifetime Warranty. If your device is damaged, has a frayed USB cable, or no longer works consistently, open a support case. BodyMetrix will send you a new device as long as the Enterprise Agreement with NJSIAA is active.
What Does a New Device or Accessory Cost?
The BodyMetrix BX2k lists at $2,495. With the nationwide 15% discount for the wrestling community, your price is $2,120.75 before tax and shipping. YSC pricing also applies to accessories, including BodyMetrix Ultrasound Gel and the PS-6615 Portable Scale, which integrates natively with BodyMetrix Software YSC. To buy:
- Submit the form on the BodyMetrix YSC Program page at bodymetrix.com/pages/ysc.
- BodyMetrix reviews each submission within 1 to 2 business days.
- Once you're approved, you'll get an email with your purchase links.
What Will the Software Cost After the Current Agreement Ends?
The software is covered under a tiered Enterprise Agreement between BodyMetrix and NJSIAA. Renewal will be negotiated with NJSIAA in year four. When the agreement renews, schools receive a new activation code to enter in the software.
TRACK WRESTLING
Are We Getting New Track Wrestling Usernames? My Username Isn't Working.
Track Wrestling accounts are managed by NJSIAA, not BodyMetrix. Each assessor should have their own username. Contact NJSIAA to confirm whether the account process has changed from previous seasons.
If an Athlete Isn't in Track Wrestling Yet, Can I Assess Them as a Student and Upload Later?
No. An official assessment that goes to Track Wrestling requires the athlete to already be in Track Wrestling. Get the athlete added in Track Wrestling first, then complete the assessment.
How Do I Sign Into Track Wrestling From the Software?
- Click Sign into Track Wrestling on the home screen or Sign In on the Rosters page. Both work the same way.
- Enter your Track Wrestling username and password.
- Select the season, for example 2026-27 High School Boys or Girls.
A green icon confirms you're connected.
An Athlete or Roster Is Missing From the Software. What Do I Do?
BodyMetrix Software YSC only pulls information from Track Wrestling. Track Wrestling is the source of truth for which teams, rosters, and athletes you can see. Fix the missing access or athletes in Track Wrestling, then sign back in from the software to resync.
ASSESSMENT DATES AND SUBMISSION
How Is the Assessment Date Set?
The assessment date is the day you complete the assessment and submit it to Track Wrestling. An assessment done today is dated today, and one done tomorrow is dated tomorrow.
If I Set Up My Roster Ahead of Time, Do Athletes Get an Assessment Date?
No. Adding athletes to BodyMetrix Software YSC doesn't create an assessment date. The date is set only when an assessment is completed and submitted.
Will an Athlete Be Resubmitted to Track Wrestling Every Time I Submit?
No. If nothing about an athlete has changed since their last submission, they aren't resubmitted. If you reweigh or rescan an athlete and their data changes, the new data is resubmitted to Track Wrestling and reevaluated.
WEIGH-IN DAY
What Does the Weigh-In Workflow Look Like?
- Sign in with your Track Wrestling credentials to pull your rosters.
- Select an athlete and run the assessment.
- Confirm the assessment and move to the next athlete.
- When you're done, submit the results to Track Wrestling in one bulk upload.
We Weigh In Waves. Can We Save Progress and Submit Once Everyone Is Done?
Yes. Click Save Progress instead of Confirm Weigh-In. Come back when the next group is complete and submit one time. You can submit the same day or on a later day.
Is There Still a Clothing Allowance?
Yes. NJSIAA confirmed that the one-pound clothing allowance still applies and hasn't changed.
GETTING HELP
Will the Session Recording Be Available?
