BodyMetrix Software YSC: Manage Rosters and Athletes
Organize, sort, and archive rosters, and add, edit, move, or remove athletes.
The Roster tab is where you manage your teams. The Rosters button on the start screen takes you straight there. While you work from a roster, the tab bar shows only Home, Roster, and Reporting. Measurements happen inside the roster’s weigh-in, and an athlete’s trends open from their name in the roster table.
Track Wrestling rosters vs manual rosters
Most programs use Track Wrestling rosters, which sync from your state association’s system. You can also build a manual roster. What you can change depends on which type it is:
| Track Wrestling roster | Manual roster | |
|---|---|---|
| Who owns roster membership | Track Wrestling | You |
| Add Athlete and Import CSV | Not available. Re-sync to pull changes | Available |
| Edit name, gender, age, graduation year | Managed by Track Wrestling, refreshed on every sync | Editable |
| Edit Body Comp (body type) | Editable | Editable |
| Move or remove athletes | Managed by Track Wrestling | Available |
To connect Track Wrestling for the first time, see YSC: Connect Track Wrestling.
Organizing your rosters
- Rosters are organized by season, then year, then roster.
- The Sort control reorders the list by name, last weigh-in, last sync, roster size, certification progress, or created date, ascending or descending.
- The start screen shows your active rosters for quick access.
- Archive retires a roster you’re done with. Turn on Show archived to find it later. Unarchive restores it with athletes, weigh-ins, and certifications exactly as they were.
Track Wrestling rosters
- Athletes sync automatically when you add a team. Sync Track Wrestling Roster on the roster refreshes names, birth dates, and grades. Use Sync Track Wrestling Teams on the Rosters screen to refresh team names or add more teams.
- If an athlete joined late on the Track Wrestling side, re-sync to pull them in.
- Each account sees its own teams. The roster list and start screen show only the signed-in account’s Track Wrestling rosters. Manual rosters always show. Signed out, no Track Wrestling rosters appear. Use Sign in to Track Wrestling on the start screen to bring them back. Hidden rosters are never deleted.
- On the athlete’s home page, a Synced from Track Wrestling note shows under the roster.
- When Track Wrestling provides a date of birth, Age fills in automatically on the weigh-in and is locked.
- On Track Wrestling rosters, the Weighmaster pre-fills with the Track Wrestling account holder who synced the roster. You can still edit it.
Finding an athlete: athletes on a Track Wrestling roster never appear in the Home search, which finds local profiles only. Use the search box on the Roster tab, or the Search Track Wrestling rosters link that appears under No local matches.
Adding athletes (manual rosters)
There are two ways to fill a manual roster:
- Import CSV: bulk import from the template. Optional Weight and Height columns are supported.
- Add Athlete: the dialog opens with a search bar. Type a name or athlete ID to find an existing profile, such as someone from last season’s roster, and click Add to Roster. No duplicate profile is created and their scan history stays intact. If no profile matches, create a new athlete below the search: name, gender, graduation year, body type, and optional weight and height. The athlete ID is assigned automatically, and a final duplicate check runs on save.
Body Comp (body type)
The roster grid shows each athlete’s Body Comp column. For wrestling, the choices are Lean and Default (the default). Body type sets the scan preset for that athlete. You can change it on both Track Wrestling and manual rosters.
Editing athletes
Click the pencil on a row, or Edit Athlete inside the trend window. The athlete ID can’t be changed. Two changes affect future scans only:
- Changing body type changes the scan preset for future scans. Existing results are not recalculated.
- Changing gender changes the body composition formula for future scans. Existing results are not recalculated.
Moving and removing athletes (manual rosters)
- Move to another roster transfers a wrestler, for example JV to Varsity. Their current certification carries over. Past weigh-ins stay with the original roster.
- Remove from Roster takes a wrestler off the roster without deleting anything. Their profile and weigh-in history are kept, and re-adding them later restores the same record.
A wrestler’s trend window shows their weigh-in history across all rosters, so moves and removals never hide past results.
Reading your roster’s status
Each Track Wrestling team shows a live status pill on its roster card and page:
| Pill | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Red “N of M certified” | Certification in progress |
| Red “Waiting on Physician Clearance (N)” | Athletes waiting on clearance. Refreshes automatically every half hour while you’re signed in |
| Blue “Awaiting Track Wrestling” | A submission is processing |
| Green “All athletes certified” | Every athlete holds a current certification |
The pill appears after the team’s first weigh-in submission, or when Track Wrestling already reports assessed athletes. A freshly imported team shows no pill. The roster table also lists each athlete’s official Track Wrestling minimum weight, eligible date, and certification status.
Athletes already assessed this season appear grayed out with their assessment details. Appeals are handled in Track Wrestling. A submitted hydration failure locks the athlete the same way: no rescan, no edits, and resolution happens in Track Wrestling.
