BodyMetrix IT Installation Guide
Installation, network, and deployment details for IT organizations
This guide is for IT teams installing BodyMetrix Software for their organization. It works with the BodyMetrix ultrasound wand (USB) and integrates with Track Wrestling (a FloSports service) for roster import. All installers are code-signed by IntelaMetrix Holdings, Inc. Windows installers use an EV certificate. Mac installers use a Developer ID and are notarized by Apple.

On Windows, verify the digital signature before deploying: Properties > Digital Signatures > IntelaMetrix Holdings, Inc.
Standard installation: Windows
- Close BodyMetrix in every signed-in Windows session.
- Run the installer as the person who will use the app. Do not use "Run as administrator." Setup installs for the signed-in user.
- Follow the wizard. The default location is %LOCALAPPDATA%\Programs\BodyMetrix. No administrator rights are needed to install, run, or update.
- Two one-time administrator prompts may appear, both from "BodyMetrix Setup, publisher IntelaMetrix Holdings, Inc.":
- First install: approval to set up the wand USB driver and, if missing, the Microsoft Access Database Engine 2016 used for legacy data import. You can decline. The app still installs, and an in-app troubleshooter guides the driver step later.
- Upgrading from versions 1.0.0 to 1.0.3: approval to remove the old machine-wide copy. User data is untouched.
- No reboot is required. Installation is complete when the app launches from the Start Menu.
Standard installation: Mac
- Open the DMG and drag BodyMetrix to Applications.
- Launch it. The app is notarized, so Gatekeeper allows it without overrides. No driver is needed.
Network requirements
- All app traffic is outbound HTTPS on port 443. The app opens no inbound ports.
- If a firewall or content filter blocks a required service, the app shows a notification with a CONN- error code. Open a support case that includes the code, and our team will send your IT department the exact allowlist entry needed. See Connection Problem Error Codes.
- From a browser, your network should allow bodymetrix.com (support form and legal documents) and bodymetrix.box.com (installer downloads).
- Track Wrestling sign-in opens in the default browser and completes through a temporary local redirect on 127.0.0.1.
Managed deployment (Intune, SCCM, Jamf)
Windows supports two deployment models: per-user (the default) or machine-wide. Pick one model per fleet, because Setup never installs two copies on one PC. Silent install switches, detection rules, uninstall commands, driver pre-staging, and return codes are in the full guide (PDF). Mac deployment uses the signed, notarized DMG or ZIP. A PKG isn't available at this time, so contact us if your workflow requires one.
Updates
The app checks for signed updates at launch and notifies the user. Per-user installs update with no administrator prompt. Machine-wide installs need administrator approval, so push new versions through your deployment tool.
Verify the installation
- The app launches from the Start Menu or Applications.
- On Windows,
pnputil /enum-driverslists the BodyMetrix WinUSB package, or the wand appears in Device Manager when connected.
